New Rafa Nadal Tennis Center to open in Marbella

As part of the expansion project conceived by the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in 2018, today it was officially announced that a new Rafa Nadal Tennis Center is to open in Marbella. The facility will be the seventh sports complex created with the Rafa Nadal training methodology.

Located on the grounds of the renovated Don Carlos Hotel in Marbella, part of the Selenta Group, the new Rafa Nadal Tennis Center will comprise 7 clay courts on which players of all ages and all standards will take courses. The goal is to offer high-quality tennis coaching so that guests can play and be coached as part of the various customised courses. These courses have been developed through an exclusive training system, based on the successful experience acquired by Rafa Nadal and his coaching team during over 15 years on the pro tour.

The Rafa Nadal Tennis Center will boast seven clay tennis courts, 2 padel courts with ocean views, a pro shop with Nike and Babolat clothing and accessories and a small exhibition with some of the trophies won by Rafa during his career. A leading tourist destination for sun and sand, the wide range of leisure on offer in Marbella will provide significant added value enabling all tennis lovers visiting the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center to enjoy an unforgettable holiday while they work on their technique.

Rafa Nadal Tennis Centers were conceived as a new line to complement the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Mallorca. They are tennis complexes located in luxury holiday resorts in leading national or international destinations. At this new facility, the Don Carlos Hotel in Marbella will offer tennis players a wide range of leisure choices to compliment the prestigious quality of its restaurants and beaches.

Following the inauguration, which takes place in summer, there will be four Rafa Nadal Tennis Centers, after the successful implementation of the complexes in Costa Mujeres (Mexico), Sani (Greece) and Hong Kong. These facilities complement the two academies located in Manacor and Kuwait and the Rafa Nadal Tennis Program recently implemented in Egypt.
