The Summer Tennis & Language Camp Junior players will improve their technique, physical condition and court skills while enjoying multiple recreational activities in the incomparable setting of Mallorca. Simultaneously to the sports practice, the participants will also improve their level of English or Spanish with daily classes taught by the teaching staff of the Rafa Nadal School, a bilingual school located in the same facilities of the Academy.
The camp also aims to educate attendees through sport through the entertaining hands-on activities that make up the “Building a Champion” program. Thanks to sessions taught by teachers from the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, the young tennis players will receive training in nutrition, physical preparation and values such as effort, humility, tolerance, patience, respect and integrity.
The program will run from June 30 through August 4, 2024. Check-in and check-out are on Sundays.
The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar Summer Tennis & Language Camp Junior will be a unique opportunity for tennis, academic training, fun and values to come together through a campus where young people from all over the world will live together. Within our facilities in Manacor, Mallorca, we have several main buildings: Academy : This is the “base camp” for junior players and has restricted access. It houses the supervised residence, the Rafa Nadal School and common rest areas. Rafa Nadal Residence : can be visited by the general public. Includes accommodation for adults or families. In addition to top-quality tennis courts (indoor, semi-covered, clay and hard courts), it has a state-of-the-art gym, spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, paddle tennis courts, restaurants and cafeteria, stores and the Rafa Nadal Museum. We also have the Quirónsalud Sports Clinic, a comprehensive and multidisciplinary service to promote sports practice in the best medical conditions.
The main language at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar is tennis and love for the sport.
In the annual program an English language assessment is part of the admission procedure for this program.
In the summer camp and weekly programs we have players from all over the world attending and the common language on the court is English. Many of our employees speak several languages.
We have players of different levels and the average training is between 4 and 6 hours per week. At the beginning of the program, the coaches evaluate the level of the players and place them in training groups per week according to their level and age.
