At the Rafa Nadal Academy, we transmit values of determination and a winning mentality to our students from day one. Our training methodology is based on the constant search for excellence and commitment to effort, inspiring promising young players to achieve their sporting and personal goals in order to play as competitively as possible. Each training session will follow a clear “objective”, at a level of maximum concentration, with no difference between a training session and a competitive match.

The competitive mindset involves overcoming challenges, learning from defeats and always striving to improve. At our Academy we teach our students to embrace this mindset as a fundamental element in achieving success in tennis and in life.

Mastery of the game begins with a solid foundation of technical skills. Our students work on perfecting their stroke, their movement on the court and their ability to adapt to different game situations. In addition, we encourage creativity and versatility on the court, allowing our players to adapt and make smart decisions during games.

The mentality of dominating the game implies always being one step ahead, anticipating plays and taking the initiative in the game. At the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar we train our students to be smart strategists on the court, capable of making quick and effective decisions. Mastery of the game is not only about winning points, but also about controlling the pace and dynamics of the match, a crucial aspect for success in high-level tennis.

The Academy also has a team of psychologists. They will be at the player’s side, participating in the development of the work plan and supervising it to act in the event that aspects to be improved in the student are detected.

We promote competition based on ethical and sporting values. We teach our students to value and respect the diversity of playing styles and to understand that every opponent is an opportunity to grow and improve. We instill in them the importance of sportsmanship in victory and defeat, and how courteous gestures on the court strengthen their competitive character.
